Coaching Certifications for Continuing Education
Coaching tennis must be preceded by teaching tennis. Teaching is focused on the acquisition of new knowledge and skills. Coaching is focused on refining and developing knowledge and skills. GTDI offers three levels of coaching certifications, affiliate memberships, program development assistance, professional player development, and training. Receive Master Level Tennis Coaching Certifications through a revolutionary holistic development process that encompasses the three major learning domains (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor). This innovative non-linear pedagogical approach to mental tennis player development brings each domain into harmony to create uninterrupted coaching and player development pathways. The Certifications were designed to offer continued education solutions targeting underserved communities in the US and other parts of the world. The founders, along with their affiliate development team partners have a wide range of tennis experience with certifications that include: USTA, USPTA, USPTR, and CYSA from the National Association for Youth Sports. GTPDI is a global think tank with well over 300 years of combined experience in high-performance tennis coaching, professional player development, educational curriculum development, and psychomotor program community development. GTPDI offers coaches and other certification bodies development solutions from the grassroots to the grand slams. A Master Coaching Certification lets the world know that you are a professional tennis instructor who has been trained to know the differences between teaching and coaching to make a difference in the lives of each student-athlete, community, and tennis development program. Through Youth Sports and Learning Life, Performance Education comes out of the classroom and goes into the community. Our Global Community Academic Partner is iSuccess Youth Sports and Learning. iSuccess is a nonprofit whose mission is to close the academic achievement gaps in underserved and rural communities while putting play back into the playground. Turn your facility into a full-time community sports and education venue and receive a Basic Membership to iSuccess in Youth Sports and Learning with GTPDI support for PE Teachers, Youth Sports Administrators, and Community Tennis Coaching for after-school and summer camps. iSuccess offers Alternative Education Solutions through K12 Personalized Learning Labs. Students learn at their own pace without the pressures of deadlines or specific log-in times. Every student is assigned to a teacher who is there to support them with their self-paced learning process. The program consists of 6 accredited courses for grades K12 with over 100 CTE courses to choose from.

This is an Level II Certification. It is also the most important stage of player development. It's designed to lay the foundation for solid tennis development and career pathways. This is where movement to the ball, eye-hand coordination, dexterity, strength, flexibility, and speed for tennis are taught through Fun. It is the answer to retention as more and more children are leaving the game by the age of thirteen (13). Coaches who enroll in the GTPDI Certification Level II course learn a new comprehensive approach that integrates the principles of cognitive psychology and skill acquisition to facilitate the transition from conscious learning to subconscious mastery in tennis player development.
